Emule not Connecting (Solved)

Today March 11, 2013 I had trouble connecting emule to the network.  I noticed emule would connect, and two minutes later it would disconnect.  This went on all day until I finally figured out the solution.

In order to connect to the eD2k network, you must access the emule/eDonkey server list.
From here copy the eDonkey server No2 IP Port (should be the first one listed) and paste it into the IP or Address box under "Servers"(emule) than click on connect.  A list of servers should appear, meaning you are connected to the network.

To connect to the "Kad" network, you must check the "Nodes.dat from URL" option and recheck firewall.  A list of contacts should appear, meaning you are connected to the Kad network.

(Update)
After connecting emule to the network, I noticed very slow downloads and uploads.   If this happened to you, click on emule options.  From here, click on connections and uncheck the download and upload limits.  Now there are no limits, meaning no more slow downloads and uploads.  If this doesn't work for you, please feel free to leave a comment explaining your issue.  Thank you

Computer Issue Solved

Okay, so I have an Acer Aspire One Laptop operating on windows 8.  After installing a few of my favorite programs I started experiencing some major computer issues.

On 1/17/2013 the first thing I noticed about my laptop was how slow it was running.  About five to ten minutes after logging in, I begin receiving a blue message stating that my computer has to restart.  When the computer restarts and I log in the error message repeats.

To solve the problem you must first access safe boot or safe startup:
I oped up the run folder by clicking on the (windows button + R), In the run folder, I ran the file "msconfig", which access the system configuration file.  From here you have five tabs labeled "general, boot, services, startup, and tools."  To safe boot the computer, I clicked on the "boot" tab and checked "safe boot", then you want to click apply and ok.  A message will appear asking to restart the computer, so click okay or restart.  When the computer restarts it should be in safe mode, which should disable the error message
temporarily until the problem is fixed.

In my case, I had two virus protections installed which interfered with each other, causing incorrect functioning.  I also had unwanted programs and or files installed, which contributed to the issue.  So I accessed the "refresh your PC" option by point the cursor in the right side upper corner, from the list of option (search, share, start, devices, and settings) I clicked on search.  Remind you that I'm using windows 8, so it might be a little different for you.  Under search, I clicked on settings and typed in refresh.  Refresh your PC should pop up, click on the icon.  The problem should be solved after refreshing the PC, don't forget to uncheck the safe boot option when you're done.  If this doesn't solve your issue, please leave a comment letting me know.

Liberty Tax Service Robbery

I was so excited when I heard about Liberty Tax Service handing out $50 bucks for those who file there taxes with them.  However, when I filed there it was a whole different story.

When I agreed to file my taxes with Liberty on 01/28/2013, I was immediately handed $50 bucks.  As the tax preparer began the preparation process.  I was told that I owed about two hundred dollars and some change to the IRS, I thought wow this couldn't be true. But after the tax preparer convicted me that the records were in fact correct, I continued to go through with the process.  I asked about possibly claiming my roommate on my taxes, the gentleman was kind and walked me through the process.  My tax refund suddenly changed from $145 to $645 with my roommate included.  As I looked over my receipt, I noticed that the IRS charge was in fact bogus.  I was instead charged a tax preparation fee of $235, I feel as if I was robbed.

Liberty Tax Service had the audacity to give three referrals, claiming to pay me $50 bucks for each.  Yea, like I would really bring three of my friends to this bogus tax service to get robbed also.  I can't believe they are doing this claiming to be professionals.  Has anyone else experience this, please leave a comment, I want to hear about.
